Archie Jay Girdham catch up ahead of Whitby for the Judd KTM British Youth Championship

The Judd KTM British Youth Championship is back in action this weekend for the second round at Skelder Bank, Whitby. We caught up with 65cc rider Archie Jay Girdham who had a very positive start to his 2019 British Championship campaign by ending the opening round in fourth.

This is what Archie had to say when we asked about this weekend and reflecting on the opening round at Culham.

I'm really looking forward to the Whitby round. I've watched the track on YouTube as I've never rode the track it's a new track for me and looks really good fun. I am feeling good on the bike and have been putting in the work on and off the track. I had a good day with the SJP team at the weekend at Gale Common Moto Park with Steve Parkin and Leighton Haigh along with mechanic Mick Price. Round 1 at Culham went really well for me, I qualified third fastest then got fourth overall. I really struggled with my starts over the weekend but was happy with my riding. Looking ahead to this weekend at Whitby my plans/goal is to get better starts and keep consistent all weekend. Hopefully I can come away with another top five finish.
