Luke Hull talks ahead of Fatcat Moto Parc this weekend
With the third round of the Judd KTM British Youth Championship fast approaching this weekend at Fatcat Moto Parc. We caught up with 125cc rider Luke Hull to see how his season has gone so far and what his plans are ahead of the midway point.
RHL: How has the season gone so far for you?
Luke Hull: “I had a slow start to the season, struggling with arm pump but have started to feel comfortable on the 125, since I have been training hard with Neville Bradshaw.”
RHL: Whitby played host to the second round this year, which was a new venue for the Championship. How was it for you?
Luke Hull: “I enjoyed the track at Whitby and had a good weekend battling hard throughout it. I was happy to come out with a 14th overall.”
RHL: This weekend we are at Fatcat Moto Parc in Doncaster for the halfway point of the 2019 season. What are your thoughts on the track along with your plan and goal for the weekend?
Luke Hull: “I have never been to Fatcats but heard it’s meant to be a great track. I am looking forward to racing there and my aim for the weekend is to better my results from Whitby.”
RHL: Going into Fatcats you are currently 11th in the British 125cc Championship with 282 points and 25 points off 10th place. How does it feel?
Luke Hull: “I am really happy with being 11thin the Championship, since I was struggling to make the top 10 on my 85 the year before. I have only been racing just under four years and happy to be at the level I am at, being the only Yamaha is great as well.”
RHL: In between meetings do you manage to get much bike time to train along with any training for the Official ACU British Youth Motocross Championship?
Luke Hull: “In between meetings I try to get as much riding in as possible, but working that with School and training is hard. I manage to get in as much as I can.”
RHL: Finally what would you say to the upcoming riders in the Judd KTM British Youth Championship?
Luke Hull: “I would say to upcoming riders in the British Youth Championship is to keep improving your results, you got to train hard and dream big and never give up.”
