Honda announces involvement in the 2019 Weston Beach Race
RHL Activities is pleased to announce that car, motorcycle and power products manufacturer Honda (UK) will be at the maddest, baddest and most bonkers racing event in Great Britain, the Weston Beach Race, on October 18 to 20.
In line with the brand’s undoubted passion for racing, Honda is looking forward to being part of the UK’s biggest motorsport event on the calendar for the second year running. Honda has a rich and successful history in motorcycle competition; Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) won this year’s FIM MotoGP World Championship, along with Tim Gajser (Team HRC) taking the crown in the FIM Motocross World Championship MXGP class, and Toni Bou (Repsol Honda Team) prevailing in the FIM Trial World Championship TrialGP class.
For this year’s event Honda will be providing a Honda Pioneer utility vehicle, a quad and a generator to support RHL Activities in the mammoth task of running the beach race, which annually attracts around 70,000 spectators. Honda will also have an exhibit along the main promenade where the iconic brand will be displaying a number of models from their off-road range from motocross bikes to farm machinery. Honda’s knowledgeable staff will be at the Weston Beach Race where they will be happy to discuss Honda’s wide range of motorcycles and power equipment with race-goers.
Neil Fletcher, Head of Motorcycles at Honda (UK): “Weston Beach Race is such an exciting event like no other and Honda is delighted to be a part of it once again. We will be showcasing a variety of bikes and power products on our stand and will be welcoming all visitors throughout the weekend. Good luck to all the riders and we look forward to (hopefully!) seeing some sunshine again.”
Steve Morris, Head of Power Products at Honda (UK) added; “The Honda Pioneer offers the ultimate off-roading ability and can tackle even the toughest of terrain. With its generous load capacity, ability to carry up to four passengers and reliable performance, the Honda Pioneer is the ideal vehicle to assist with the set-up of this iconic event as well as being on hand to support for the duration of the weekend.”
Gareth Hockey, Director of RHL Activities, commented “It’s great to be welcoming Honda back to the Weston Beach Race and I would like to say a big thank-you to them for the support of the quality vehicles Honda is providing to assist the RHL team over the event weekend. Honda is an iconic brand with a rich heritage in motorcycle racing and it is fantastic that they will once again support the Weston Beach Race, which gives the company the opportunity to engage with its fans, customers and a wide audience during the weekend. Not only that the event will set the stage for the announcement of the Buildbase Honda British Championship motocross team line-up for 2020. We really look forward to working with Honda’s friendly staff at the race, it’s great for us to continue our relationship and to have such strong industry support at the event.”
