Par Homes Husqvarna signed French rider Florian Miot will be competing for the first time this season in the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship Fuelled by Gulf Race Fuels.

The French rider has had a number of successes in previous years in the French Motocross Championship and is looking to bring that with him competing at the Official ACU British Motocross Championship onboard a 250F Husqvarna for the Par Homes Husqvarna Team.

With just 19 days to go until the first event of the year at Culham, we caught up with Florian to discuss his career to date, understand his thoughts on this season and more.

Firstly, Florian can you give us a bit of background on your motocross career to date, we know you have won the French Motocross Championship a couple of years and had some success in the Italian Championship?

“Yes, I was twice Champion of France in 2015 and 2019 and was vice-champion in 2014 and 2017. I took the win in the Italian Championship in 2019. On top of this I also took fourth place overall in the FIM Junior World Motocross Championships, 2017 in the 85cc class, 2015 in the 65cc class.”

This year you have signed with the Par Homes Husqvarna team to race in the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship Fuelled by Gulf Race Fuels. What’s your thoughts of competing in the UK this season?

“It’s the 1st year that I am going to participate at the British Championship, the grounds seems cool, there will be good riders and I can wait for the season to start.”

You have been living with team mate Calum Mitchell for some time now and train together a lot. Can you give us an insight into what your training programme is like?

“I train a lot with my teammate (Calum Mitchell). I live with him, we bike a lot, we also run a lot, and we often go to the gym.”

You are new to the British Motocross scene and from looking and researching the tracks for this year, are there any which are standing out to you in particular or is it you’re looking forward to racing at all the circuits this year?

“This Championship is new to me, so I am looking forward to discovering the grounds this year.”

Finally, what is your goal for this year in the British Championship?

“My goal this year is to finish on the podium at all races and to win all the rounds.”
