Bike It MTX Kawasaki's Wilson Todd made his debut in the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship Fuelled by Gulf Race Fuels on May 1st & 2nd at Culham MX Park in Oxfordshire. This was the first time the Australian competed in the British Motocross Championship with his teammate Taylor Hammal.

After two consecutive motos on the Sunday Wilson ended up with the second spot on the podium for the season opener. We caught up with Wilson to discuss Culham and ahead of Lyng for the second round on May 23rd.

Wilson, congratulations on second overall at the British Championship yesterday. How does it feel walking away with second place in the Championship?

"Thank you, not too bad, we didn't know what to expect as I have really not don't much racing the last couple of years."

You had two strong motos with some great battles throughout the day. How did you feel about your performance?

"The first race I started a little far back and took my time to past the riders, Conrad was obviously out of the question as he had taken off, I punped up quite a bit so I rally was just trying to get it home. Second moto was much better getting off the gate, I put in some decent laps and pulled the lead right out, once Conrad got into second the gap started to close, I was struggling with a little bit of bike setup and made some mistakes witch got him right on me by the end, but all in all it's great to get out there and get an idea on everything as we are going into it blind."

Second moto you took the win after some impressive racing. How did it feel taking the chequered flag?

"Loved the track in the second moto, it got rough and technical so it really spectated us from the rest of the field rather then just going wide open on a flat track. We will just continue to get ready for the next one and make some improvements."

Next stop is Lyng on May 23rd, what will you be doing ahead of this to prepare for the event? Also whats your thoughts on the circuit from what you have seen so far?

"I have no idea about the tracks we are racing over here, my first lap of practice will be the first time I see them, as I kind of want to train myself to learn the track on the fly for practice for the GPS this year."
