Gillingstool Primary School day at the Weston Beach Race
29th September, 2021

Students from Gillingstool Primary School headed down to Weston-super-Mare on Wednesday 29th September for the annual Schools day at the Weston Beach Race.

The educational day on the beach gave the pupils a look behind the scenes of such a large-scale operation. The youngsters were given a tour of the site of the race, which is the UK’s biggest motorsport event, whilst also engaging in a number of different activities throughout the day including an in-depth session discussing the vast amount of careers within the event industry and involved with the Weston Beach Race.

Gareth Hockey, Director of RHL Activities commented “It was great to welcome students from Gillingstool Primary School back to the beach for this year’s event for our annual Schools Day. We take great pride in encouraging youngsters to consider the world of motorsport as part of their future, whether that be in event management, course building, media relations or even racing themselves. It gives us an opportunity to give something back and show young people the possibilities within our world.”
