Lauren-May Collingwood: British Championship to Lommel MXGP
16th December, 2021

Lauren May Collingwood who rode all rounds of the Official Women’s British Championship in the 2021 season and went to Lommel for her first ever MXGP.

Lauren had a tough season jumping back on the bike after last riding back in 2015 she came away from the championship in seventh with a total of 294 points over three rounds and ten races. After the season Lauren decided to head to the Lommel GP with the help of RHL, ACU and the points she had gathered during the Official British Women’s Championship!

Here is what Lauren had to say about the experience.

“Lommel is awesome, it’s a track I used to ride before I stopped racing motocross back in 2015. The atmosphere was incredible, and to race against the fastest women in the world was awesome.
I only jumped back on a bike in April this year from 2015 so racing the Revo british this year certainly prepared me well & got me up to a better pace. We had a great first GP considering I haven’t had that much bike time in the past 6 years, but I know where I need to improve, so we will have a heavy winter training & riding to get to the best I can be. Looking forward to competing again in the British championship next season alongside the women’s worlds. Two championships that I will be working hard for!”

We look forward to seeing Lauren compete with us again next year, let see what she can bring!
